Unfairness
Bread Prices
The king got all bread he wanted for free put the people had to spend a ton of money just to buy one loaf of bread.
Taxes
They second and first estate didn't have to pay taxes, only the first estate which cause them to revolt.
National Assembly
This caused the war because the National Assembly wouldn't listen to the third estate which made them revolt.
Lack of Food
Harvest
Due to the harsh winters they didn't have a lot of food to harvest so they couldn't get as much food as the king.
Taxes
Due to the taxes to the families in the third estate had trouble putting food on the table because they had to pay high taxes.
Bread
The bread was expensive so they couldn't get a lot of it so they revolted because it cause a whole months pay just for one loaf of bread.

Since France citizens saw american citizens revolt against England it gave them the idea to do it.
Military spending
Due to military spending the country didn't have a lot of money so they they had to created taxes but only for the third estate.
