We just got our first green building (environmentally responsible and resource efficient building)

People are starting to become more green by using solar panels and being more eco friendly.

Also, us doing this presentation is us helping people be more aware of what we are doing to Trinidad. Create organizations to help the community.

South Trinidad found a simple, innovative way of coaching these students in becoming participants for positive environmental change.

It changes the way we think for better! People are getting involved in community service and are respecting each other more

This helps us deal with issues of global interdependence (the dependence of two or more people or things on each other)

diversity of identities and cultures, sustainable development, peace & conflict of power, resources & respect.

The crime rate: In Trinidad we are facing crime, people breaking the rules. These crimes are not our fault or not and really is the police’s fault, the law in Trinidad is never reinforced really, Trinidad is always doing things that are against the law. With all the crimes and robberies, police need to step up the game but some people think they are doing well. Some things people think the police are doing very well. Like a time when my uncle crashed his drone in a dangerous area and the the police searched the whole area and they found it. They were committed to finding the drone and they did. They also, risked their lives to find a drone!

Air pollution: The cars are creating global warming which is making it hotter. The heat is evaporating the water and puddles and making it rain more. When we have all the heat it will get hotter and the trees are burning down in Trinidad from the bushfires and the heat helping it burn. We will have no roots too keep up the soil and landslides can occur easily.

Poverty/homelessness. So many people are living on the streets and have no food water and shelter.

water pollution from agricultural chemicals, industrial wastes, and raw sewage oil pollution of beaches deforestation soil erosion. Erosion is happening from the amount of rainfall and we are making the world so polluted by the cars and oil spills

Global warming making it hotter. Causing rising waters. flooding, illegal dumping of trash, deforestation, excessive soil erosion, fisheries and wildlife depletion/decrease.Littering takes away the beauty from the island.

We also just throw garbage on the road and it just stays there. We also throw garbage in the ocean like garbage bags. Turtles think it is a jellyfish and choke on it

Trinidad is very polluted and this making our waters black of oil which is killing our fish so we can’t fish for food and we are loosing beautiful nature

People are not receiving medical help when they need it.
Health care- People can’t afford certain health care, so many people are dying and not getting the correct/proper treatment. For example, because they don’t have the amount of money.

Flooding- from pollution in the drains blocking the water’s path.

The recession and its impact on the economy- Food prices going up and making it harder for people to fund for food.

The education system- People aren’t getting the education they need to get a secure job and knowledge of the world around them.

Rights of refugees- In Trinidad there aren’t many refugees but some places in the world that have refugees. The refugees are struggling to get jobs and people are afraid of them because they think they are bad people but they are really just people escaping bad conditions from where they were before.

Murderers and robbers, almost every single day! You are always hearing it in the news. Also, people being kidnapped and nobody is making any efforts to try and stop them

Do beach cleanups and clean the streets from trash.People can treat all citizens equally no matter where they stand in society. Express good values and be fair and respectful to everyone. Expose and not participate in illegal practices.

Being a global citizen means that you take care of your country so it means that your rights and responsibilities some examples of being a global citizen is by not polluting, cleaning up places that are polluted and to not break laws because if you do you might get a fine or go to jail.

Not discriminating anyone for anything about them. Not breaking the laws.Be a good communicator and to be responsible for your actions.

Starting by teaching the younger generations to be respectful and caring for the earth. Not harming anyone. Make more laws to prevent people from doing them.

Stop littering, seeing garbage everywhere takes the beauty away from the island’s natural beauty and nature.Government can help by putting more surveillance so there can be less crime.

The Wildfowl trust, Wa Samaki Ecosystems and other organizations are doing things like taking care of animals and not using fertilizers because fertilizers lac minerals that are healthy for the environment and harmful towards Microorganisms (Fungus). Plastikeep in schools to make them more aware and want to recycle.

People are coming to Trinidad with companies to show us what we are doing and alternative energies we can use to make Trinidad a better place.
