Little assessment to see what how much students already know and where their weaknesses lie
Formative Assessment
Worksheet with pictures of different measurements within unit. Students will color code to show me their understanding .
Lesson Introduction
Students will come into the classroom and I will have cups, gallons, quarts, and pints of water set up in the front of the classroom. I will show students how they relate to each other .
Instructional Strategies
learn the relationship between gallons, cups, quarts, and pints , students will make a little robot out of construction paper. I will have a model one done but I will create one as well as they make theirs. This paper robot can then be used as a study tool.
Summary/Closure
I will have students watch a video summarizing what we learned . Then I will have students complete a ticket out the door.
