act l
Scene 1
Hippolita is getting married in 4 days to Theseus.
Egeus is pissed at Hermia and Lysander being in love.
Theseus gives Hermia 3 choices.
Lysander's aunt has a bunch of money and thinks of him as a son.

Act 2 (The Woods outside of Athens)
Titania and Oberon have been broken up and seeing other people for over a year.
Helena and Demetrius show up and he is looking for Lysander and Hermia.
Puck is the trickster, a Loki figure who doesn't mean any harm but causes trouble.
Helena tells Demetrius he can beat her like dog but he wants her to leave him alone.
Oberon feels sorry for Helena and vows to change Demetrius.
Oberon tells Puck to fetch a flower.
Act 3 ( still in the woods)
The Mechanicals all meet to rehearse the play they discuss how to bring moonshine into the play
Puck finds Bottom and turns him into a Donkey
Titania wakes up and falls in love with Bottom and refuses to leave him in the woods (hostage) but promises to pay him with jewels and treats.
Scene 2
Oberon and puck talk about what has happened to Titania.
Demetrius and Hermia enter and Hermia is wondering what happened to Lysander
Demetrius falls asleep after Hermia leaves Oberon instructs Puck.
Lysander and Helena shows up Demetrius wakes up and sees Helena and falls in love with her.
Helena thinks she's being pranked
Puck puts magic in Lysander's eyes
