Ancient Egyptians had all different types of time inventions. they were:
Obelisk. The Obelisk allowed the Egyptians to calculate the time of day, if it was morning, night, or afternoon.
Sundial. It is a shadow clock. They divided the day into 12 parts/hours. The shadow clock relied on the sun, so they were useless at night. :last_quarter_moon_with_face:
