The tail fluke is used to push the dolphin forward and the fins are used for driving them self through the water.

Their fins are made up of dense, folded tissue that is rigid and that allows the dolphin to stay up right
Apperance
Dolphins have a smooth, rubbery skin and the colour is black, white and some grey.

Lifecycle
- when they are six months old they can start eating seafood
- when they reach purbety ( 3-8) they try finding a mate . The mating season is spring and autumn
- when the baby is born they come out tail first so they are immeditly strong swimmers
- They have a family of about 40 members each and some are school herds it get to this amount. The nuclear group - 1 female and 1 male.
- it takes about 12 months for the baby to be born
Habbitat
Spinner dolphins are normally found in the pacific and found in warm waters. However, they are also found in the deeper waters
Dolphins are known as being gentle creatures and there is a type of mystic curiosity surrounding them too.

When dolphins repeatedly bow (or jump) as they swim rapidly forward, it is called "porpoising".
