Teacher will let students review how to count to 100 by ones and by tens. Students would try to count as more as they can.
Formative assessment
Teacher would give students a number like 79, students need to write down the tens numbers between 79 to 120, the answers are 80, 90, 100, 110, 120.
Lesson Introduction
The goal of this lesson is counting to 120, starting at any number less than 120 by using written numeral and also read it. First teacher would introduce the main idea and then let students review the knowledge they learned before, count to 100 by ones and by tens. Then let them go on, see how many numbers they can write.This is a pre-assessment. After this assessment teacher begin teaching students the rules and how to count to 120, even more. At last students would do a formative assessment.
