Photosynthesis Vs. Cellular Respiration
What is Photosynthesis?
It is the process of plants making food.
**
This process is not only used by plants, but bacteria, algae, and some bacterias.
Chlorophyll is what makes the plants green by taking energy from the sun
They make this food by using light energy from the sun, carbon dioxide, and water.
Plants are producers
You can only use this process if you are a plant cell an example of a plant is a leaf
Photosynthesis takes place in the chloroplast of a plant cell
Reactants H20+Co2+sun>ProductsO2+C6H12O6
What do they have in common?
They are both NOT producers
They are both processes of making food
both important to this world
What is Cellular Respiration?
It is the process by which cells use oxygen to produce ATP / Or chemical energy
Cellular respiration takes place in the mitochondrion
Most of the time, animal cells use this process, because they do not have chloroplasts.
Reactants O2+CuH12O6>Products CO2 +H2O+ATP
Glucose is one of the nutrients included in cellular respiration.
