When they are with people who speak the same language as them, they can:
interact with each other
support and comfort each other
communicate efficiently
not feel lonely
Colonization
many people move to countries which speak the same language as the country they do
there are many countries which have similar languages due to colonization
Examples of such countries:
Portuguese: Brazil, Portugal
English: America, England, everywhere...
French: France, and djibouti, and other francophone countries
living in a country with a different language
