School Failure
What is it? It is the lack of overcoming the objectives of an educational stage, which determines the impossibility to continue.
What is the consequence? It often involves serious difficulties of personal, work and social integration.
Who Fails? It is a failure, in general, of the educational system, just as the administration and its structures have configured it.
At what stage do we fail? The debate now focuses on secondary education, but primary education also generates a percentage of induced failure where there are no compensatory measures or diversity.
What are the major causes of school failure?
The failure factors should not be hierarchized but prioritized with criteria of effectiveness for resolution. In general they have a double dimension:
School system
Social system
What responsibility does the faculty have? It should analyze with criteria of professionalism and not of mere voluntarism; Neither must denigrate nor fall into self-flagellation but lack:
-Personal
-Professional
What responsibility do parents have? There are unfavorable family settings and others are not. The diversity of teachers is extrapolated to families.
What are the proposals to avoid it? The failure can be reduced and almost disappear, but for this it is necessary on the part of the administration the assumption of its responsibilities.
