Considered one of the biggest battles in English history

Medieval Crime and Punishment
To be hanged, drawn, and quartered was for high treason. Woman were burned at the stake instead.
Torture was deemed a legitimate means to extract confessions or o obtain the names of accomplices or other info about crimes. Conducted in private.
Two types of trial(trial by jury and trial by ordeal)
Trial by ordeal was intended to determine if a person was innocent or not, it was believed that God would help the innocent
Trial by ordeal was for the more serious crimes whereas jury trial was everyday crimes
