What I want to show & How i could show it
That everything is falling apart
Make the stage cluttered
Start with the set neat at the base and develop up to a more cluttered peek.
highlites the shift from orderd to broken as time gose on
The forest in the back
Slowly show it degrading
As the play goes on the lights become harsher. less soft light
The comedy of it all
Absurdity
The existence of the pillar
Unseen character entrances
The shock of a character suddenly appearing lays up to comedy
That nothing changes
have the set stay the same for the extent of the peice
By not changing the set we show that there is no growth. the set will start and end exactly the same.
Have the Pillar change from ordered to un-orderd back to ordered by the top. it becomes a loop
The forest in the back
Have it return to its origional state by the end
That this is a snip-it of reality
Realistic set
While attached to the pillar all furniture should still be accurate to the times
The majority of the lighting should come from lamps and bulbs on the stage
Realistic costuming
The actors pay no attention to the stage around them
While they act in an unrealistic envioment their actions are entirely realistic
