Lab 5: (New Topic) Cancer and how it is related to processed foods:
In my major, Community Health Sciences, cancer has come up already multiple times. In this essay I will be discussing how the food eaten by society today is effecting us health-wise.
Pathos
I am going to build a strong emotional appeal in my technical essay by using specific personal accounts from people who have gone through having a family member with cancer caused mostly by processed foods and an unhealthy lifestyle.

Community health is a major field of study within the medical and clinical sciences which focuses on the maintenance, protection and improvement of the health status of population groups and communities as opposed to the health of individual patients.
Kairos
This topic is extremely Kairotic because society as we know it is actively (right now), being effected by these processed foods.

I will be using logos in this essay by creating reasonable arguments with strong counter arguments and examples to persuade the audience
-
If all medical professionals know that most processed foods are carcinogens, why haven't they tried to do something big to create healthier alternatives or better solutions?

Inquiry Email: Hi, my name is Hanna Fetters and I am a Community Health Science major at UNR. I am writing to show people the long term effects of eating processed foods and how it can lead to cancer. I was wondering if there is any important points that you think I should include in my essay to create a strong emotional appeal to the audience and build a strong argument. Would you have a few moments to address a few questions like this one, perhaps in a personal interview or via email? Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely, Hanna Fetters Hfetters@nevada.unr.edu (209)373-2023
