The slow-mo capable Type C videotape format was introduced by Sony and Ampex in 1976.
Collins omits that the commercial development of standard slow motion video was only 7 years away. Considering NASA's budget in the late 1960s, is it not plausible that they were able to develop a similar 1-inch videotape technology that was never made public?
S.G. Collins, a filmmaker, argues that the footage could not have been fake, for it would have been impossible to film that much video in slow motion. He notes that slow motion video cameras of the day, such as the Ampex HS-100, could only shoot 30 seconds of slow motion video, not hours.

In the 1960s, NASA was a point of federal pride. This is evidenced by the U.S. budget allocated to NASA. In the years from 1962 to 1969, NASA's budget ranged from 106 to 183 million dollars annually. The budget ranged from 1.18% to 4.41% of all U.S. Spending.

Some of the "clues" found in both of these videos are quite dubious, but there is no doubt that Kubrick made some oblique references to the Apollo program.
Kubrick insists that the premiere of his last film "Eyes Wide Shut" take place on Jul. 19th, 1999. One day before the 30th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Launch.
Kubrick used a ZEISS f/0.7 Lens to film candlelit scenes for Barry Lyndon. Carl Zeiss made them for NASA. Only 10 were produced. NASA bought 6, Zeiss kept one, and Kubrick was sold the other 3. This is clearly and inside deal.

The United States is in desperate need of a "first." They send apollo 11 to the moon, and that mission MUST succeed. The reputation of the country depends on it. In the case of failure, what better assurance than to broadcast fake footage, and deal with covering up failure if and when it happens. Dr. David Grimes mathematically calculates that a conspiracy on the scale of the moon landing would only last 3.7 years. If the mission were successful, no conspiracy would be needed other than a small compact between top officials at NASA a broadcasting team. Only if the mission failed would there be need for a massive conspiracy.
