20yo female presents to A&E with progressively worsening dyspnea over…

- - - - Hx: Cough. Weakness in arms/legs. Difficulty speaking/swallowing.
      - PE: Loss of cough or swallowing reflex (e.g. neurological deficit, intubation, surgery Hx). Cyanosis.
    - - Hx: Unusual exposures (insect stings), activities (exercise), foods, or ingestions 24hrs prior to onset. Medications (NSAIDs, ACEi, Angiotensin-receptor blockers). Family hx of hereditary angioedema.
      - PE: Localized swelling of URT mucous membranes. Often with other S/S of mast cell-mediator release (Urticaria, Flushing, Generalized pruritus, Bronchospasm, Throat tightness, Hypotension).
  - - - Hx: Sore throat. Odynophagia. High fever. Muffled voice. Drooling
      - PE: Stridor. Laryngoscopy (pooled secretions, tender laryngotracheal complex, inflammation & edema of supraglottic structures)
    - - Retropharyngeal abscess (neck rigidity, difficulty turning, uvula deviation)
