ethos
The strongest ethos is at the very beginning of the film. President Hoover is talking about the damn and giving facts about it and it is a real life recording of his voice talking about the Hoover Dam. It is very emotional and gives me the strongest ethos. He even says everyone is proud except for those who are narrow visioned.
A book called, "A typology of families with parental alcohol or drug abuse."
My Story will have strong ethos. I have experienced alcohol abuse first hand so I know what exact effects it has on the body and on a family. I will be able to give people real examples that have happened to me. This will be more than just an online article or something that I pull out of a book. It will have emotional appeal and engage the reader and make them feel as if they are standing right beside me through all of this. It will also make them see the effects and how deeply we need help.

My mother will my a strong source in my story. I can use my own personal experiences with it and tell how it has affected her from a first hand experience. This will make my essay more credible.

This is important to share with society because it is becoming a bigger issue than we think. More and more families are being hurt by alcoholism just like mine. Society must start teaching children at a young age about alcohol and the dangers of it. We think of alcohol (especially in college) as a fun party gateway. This is all fine until we start to rely on it for any social experience and then it goes to an everyday need. If we educate at a young age, they will be more aware of alcoholism and know what signs to look for before it is too late and they are dependent on it. We do not educate our children enough on this topic and it has become a necessity with how many people are abusing the use of alcohol.
I am writing a paper on Alcohol abuse. I have many questions but my main question is what is the worst affect alcohol abuse has on the personal life that you have seen. If I could get a personal story of someone, that would be awesome. Thank you so much for your time.

My name is Kylee Spencer and I attend UNR. I am writing an essay on alcohol abuse for my english class.I have a few questions on this topic and was wondering if we could chat over a phone call or if I could draft some questions to you over email. If I could get a personal story that you know from one of your clients and their recovery process, that would be amazing as well. If you think it would be better to ask someone else, or if you have more sources for me that would be great as well.

In "Dropping Acid", Kolbert uses organic structure. It opens with a complication of coral reefs and how the one tree island came to be. Kolbert goes into detail about how the coral grew into an island and all the different researchers that have come to it. It then goes to a main character that goes to the island and meets people that are researching it. The story goes through the issues and studies and concludes with Kolbert seeing coral reproducing and making more of the island. This all uses organic structure because it develops a main character and shows how they resolve the complication.
