Chapter 4: Perception
Introduction
Perception is a three-stage process which is used to give meaning to the stimuli received through the five senses.
Exposure is when a person comes in contact with a stimulus. If there is no exposure, perception cannot happen.

Sensory Threshold

Differential threshold is a relative concept that the differences in intensity between two stimuli before a consumer can perceive that these two stimuli are different.
Exposure

Selective Exposure is the control that the consumer has over what she/he wants to see, hear, smell, taste, or touch.
Augmented Reality
The application of a layer of digital (computer created) information on top of a physical layer such as picture.
