CO2 exerts a high PP in the tissue and a lower PP in the blood stream (High tissue concentration due to respiration
O2 exerts a low PP in the tissue and a higher PP in the blood stream (Low tissue concentration due to respiration)
CO2 therefore diffuses out of the tissue and into the blood stream and O2 diffuses out of the blood stream and into the tissue
