pathophysiology
POAG
morphological changes of trabecular meshwork over time impairs drainage. Consequent rise in IOP is transmitted to the optic disc where nerve fibre damage occurs.
ACG
anatomy of the eye (hypermetropic) predisposes it to failure of aqueous humour to pass through the pupil and to crowding of the anterior chamber angle, preventing aqueous access to the trabecular meshwork.
