The United States
Franklin D. Roosevelt
The fear of overvalued stock prices caused a huge amount of investors to pull out. This caused the New York stock market to crash and thousands of people lost their life savings
Democratic Government
The Economic contraction occured when people could no longer buy products because they lost all their money. Then people lost jobs due to business' not earning enough money. Since so many countries relied on the USA's economy, all industrialized nations suffered.
The Smoot-Hawley Tariff act, was an act passed by the US government to increase the manufactured products to prohibiting levels. This caused other countries to do the same, and backfired on international trade by decreasing the amount of trade and income between nations.
The Great Depression caused social differences and tension in the United States. The middle and lower classes all suffered while the rich continued to live comfortable lifestyles. Death rates and infant mortality rates increased. Wile many people struggled to find food, water and shelter on a daily basis. Even people who managed to make it through school with an education came into society without a job market for them. Hatred of the upper classes increased as well as the gap between the rich and the poor
John Maynard Keynes advocated for the growth of demand to save society from the Great Depression. He urged the government to lower taxes and regulations to stimulate the general populations consumption. Growing the consumers will cause the income and economy to increase and a result, taking society back to its prime.
The New Deal was when President FDR decided the government should intervene with the global economic crisis. They decided to create more jobs, prevent the collapse of banks, provide social security and implement a minimum wage.

Adolf Hitler
Hitlers rise to power came about due to the peoples lack in faith of their current government. They wanted change and a part that could get them out of their current situations . Eventually Hitler was presented the position of Chancellor by the president and he was able to gain power from there.
Fascism
National Socialist German Workers Party (Nazi party)
National Socialism was the political doctrine of the Nazi Party
The Racial State occured when the Nazis secured power. They preached about racial superiority and racial purity. It was based off antisemitic and racist theories in Germanys history.
Women in Nazi Germany had to deal with their decreasing population issue. Women were told their primary purpose were to have kids and take care of homes
Nazi Eugenics were people who believed scientifically that their are certain superior races and considered themselves experts on hereditary situations.
Anti-Semitism in Germany was due to the Nazi party wanting a pure hereditary line and the elimination of Jews.
The Nuremberg laws were a series of laws that was passed by the Nazi party that suppressed and dehumanized Jews in Germany.
a. Kristallnacht was a night in Germany where Nazi's went around burning Jewish owned stores and killing Jews. This led to a series of events causing thousands of Jews to leave seeking refuge in other countries.

Fascist Regime
The Fascist state of Italy was run by Benito Mussolini. He transformed the state of Italy into a tyranny by silencing free speech, the press and exiling and murdering citizens who did not comply with the newly set rules. They changed the regime and created a corporatist order.
Soviet Union
Vladimir Lenin
The New Economic Policy was when the government returned small scale industries back into the hands of private owners. This helped the declining market economy for the Russians.
Josef Stalin
Under the Stalin, the communist government implemented the five year plan. This was a plan that changed Russia from a agricultural society into a well developed industrialized nation that focused on Steel and Iron.
The Great Purge occured when Stalin told the Congress he was going to make more powerful leaders, so power was spread out instead of being concentrated in one person. Although he promised this, Stalin alternatively murdered or exiled all political opponents to his regime and created a new party free of opposition.
Communist government
The government in the USSR was run by the Bolshevik party. They're revolution took part while attempting to kick out the Tsar's and create a government for the people. They led a series of revolutions and rebellions including the February and the October revolutions. They were able to eliminate all political enemies and establish a government run by their party only facing no opposition,
The Communist War was a series of actions the Bolsheviks did to set up a strong Communist state. They seized all private property and took control over most business and trade. They banned private trade between two people and solely focused on bringing power into the hands of themselves.
Collectivization in Russia was when the government seized privately owned farms, and created farming units, where all products were shared equally across the farmers, and some to the government itself.
