Anything that traditionally falls within 'land', or 'natural resources.' It includes everything on the land (rivers, lakes, oceans, forests, soils etc). Plus the natural environment and ecosystem (Air, wildlife, biodiversity, climate, ozone layer and so on). Natural capital and land are different in that natural capital does change but land does not. Natural capital can decrease by deforestation, devastation of marine ecosystems and can increase by investments that aim to preserve and improve the resources quantity and quality.
