seniority and mentorship, for example: in Chinese culture, people respect older people so some top executive managers are old , so sometimes, they can not came up with new ideas and some even dont accept new ideas. it is not beneficial for the company's developmetnt . on the other hand , they actually can share rich experiences with others.

managers emphasis the loyalty and it is more likely they want to keep employees working for them because of loyalty. on the one hand, sharing values or being pride about the community can make employees really care about the company., on the other hand, there is less monetary reward to encourage employees to work harder
centralization
top executive managers dont want other people to share their powers. so sometimes, they may make wrong decisions and employees have to do like what managers said
especially in the state-owned companies , they are always large scale butt less effectivity

Western culture adopts a more informal method of communication between subordinates and managers whereas East Asian culture has greater formality in communication

Asian culture involves a hierarchy that is seniority based meaning those existing in the organisation with the greatest loyalty and experience are positioned higher in management. In contrast, Western culture adopts a merit based system which awards individuals based on their performance. As such there is a greater incentive to improve productivity and performance in western countries
Asian culture prioritises the shareholders and their needs relative to western culture who demonstrate a greater acknowledgement to other stakeholders

Within the western society, the distinctions between the different levels within the hierarchy are less significant.
For example, there are many employees with higher roles within the organisation in comparison to Asia where there are many duty managers who are at a higher level than normal employees but often perform the same roles
Objectives
Individualist and want to be successful for themselves rather than for the general society or for a group of people. Within Coles the ultimate aim is to make a profit for the owners of the store and to do this in the most efficient way possible. The amount of money the workers obtain remain the same no matter how many sales they make.
Merit based where the main objective for the organisation is to earn money by selling the goods and making profit from these goods
similarities
the main objective of organisations in east-asia and in the west is to make a profit as no organisation can operate on a loss in the long-run loss
communication: in both societies employees will report back to their superiors (managers) there is a distinguished level of hierarchy however east-asia is more steep while western is flatter
there are students from asia that goes abroad to study and may bring back western values. so in the future there may be more similarities the executives woul have graduate from western schools
Learning from co-workers: east-asian organisations and western organisations employees work in teams to achieve a goal of the organisation
both place an emphasis on stakeholders as they play a vital role in the organisations success, more specifically both highly value shareholders
planning; both value planning and it contributes to profit maximisation and the success of the organisation
