The dead could hang out with the living
The veil of the world of the living to the word of the dead is the thinnest
So that people could remember the passed away
They had a festival in honor of these souls of the dead. They call it Samhain

The custom of Halloween was brought to America in the 1840s by Irish immigrants fleeing their country’s potato famine.
