- - - - What students build through this activity among others, could be showcased at a tech fair. Students will need to consider their goals and ensure that submissions follow predetermined guidelines. Students can either stand with their project at the fair or create a video that tells a similar story. By sharing their process, various tips and tricks, and challenges that they encountered, students will reflect on their work and support the learning of other students.
- - - - I want to encourage students to think deliberately about the work they are doing when engaging with tools like these. Should students select this tool to showcase their knowledge about a particular topic, I may have them try to organize their thoughts in a Read, Write, Think organizer. Through this activity, my hope would be that they understand the purpose of the tools and what they hope to get out of it. In the future, their ability to think through their choices and plans could be developed by engaging in this metacognitive activity.
- - - - For this activity, students can follow steps outlined in the lego tutorial or use pieces to build their own creation. I want to be intentional about visiting students while they work and having discussion around how they feel with using the pieces, what they're building, what their goals are and what challenges they are experiencing.
- - - - One element that I would encourage in this activity and others is the importance of having peer to peer mentoring. For example, middle school students may be working on their own projects with these tools, in addition to volunteering at another time during the day to support the learning of elementary students. I could pair up two younger students with an older student to complete a project together. I could model this for students as well, by having teacher mentors work with middle school students on their projects.
- - - - I could develop a tutorial session on how to make a movie or audio recording. I can review basic elements - editing, uploading, etc. Then, I can provide time for students to explore the tools on their own and with other students. A group of students in the class can be a part of the 'tech squad' to help other students who need support.

        For this activity, I would really encourage students to have an inquiry-based approach. After allowing them time to explore, I would facilitate one on one conversations and whole group brainstorming on the potential this tool has - what can we create with it? How can it change how we operate in our daily lives? How do we see this tool developing in the future? What can this tool not do? What can it do?
