THE FACE THEORY
NEGATIVE
Negative face is the freedom from feeling imposed upon by the interaction, it keeps the person more independent and give the desire to feel free and unrestricted, rather than connected therefore avoiding intruding on another person's life.
APPEALING
to appeal is to show freedom, for example 'no rush take your time'
CHALLENGING
to challenge is to be commanding with orders, like 'i need it now'
POSITIVE
the need to be accepted liked by others and treated as a member of the group, therefore know their wants are shared by others.
APPEALING
to like something, for example 'you look nice'
CHALLENGE
to dislike something, for example 'what the heck are you wearing?'
