    - - Lennie goes against George and causes trouble for George and their American Dream.

- - - - Climax: Curley's wife tries to advance on Lennie , he says he likes soft things so she lets him touch her hair. He grabs too hard so she starts to scream, Lennie freaks out and breaks her neck.
        
        Falling Action : Curley's wife is found dead, Curley wants to kill Lennie. George gets away from the group and finds Lennie himself. George tells Lennie the story of the farm to distract him and shoots him in the back of the head.
        
        The voices came close now. George raised the gun and listened to the voices.
        Lennie begged, "Le's do it now. Le's get that place now."
        "Sure, right now. I gotta. We gotta."
        
        "Oh! That's nice," and he stroked harder "Oh, that's nice."
