Role Models
Role models and peers are important in order to achieve my goal. Networking
To become a successful visual artist I must network with similar and complimentary individuals and groups. Networking involves meeting and building long-term relationships with peers who can help each other achieve individual goals. According to the employment consultancy company: Michael Page website it is noted that "Active networking is vital to career growth"(Michael Page Team. 2015).
Other Artists
By networking with other artists who have had different experiences in various disciplines; I will be able to strengthen working relationships necessary to succeed as a professional artist. This will support in gaining recognition as an artist amongst peers as well as promote a collective notion of brainstorming and idea-swapping. (Michael Page Team: 2015)

Execution of Strategies/Evolution goals
I will execute my plans by setting major and minor goals that will go towards building my career as a professional. According to the employment portfolio article on Seek (2017) it is recommended to plan your personal and career goals in "two, five and ten year" (Seek:2017) processes to better organise and review your ideas. Because these aspirations can change due to personal priorities and economic indicators, these goals should be kept simple and also adjustable (Seek:2017)
Minor/Major Goals
The Australian Institute of Business published an article listing the benefits of goal setting. In the article; it was said that a clear and concise goal will give you the ability to focus on priorities, will guide you with decision making, time management and the ability to measure and evaluate for future and other goals.
Mindset
After goals have been identified, the cognitive and motivational frames of achieving these tasks are implemented. According to Gollwizer, P.'s Theory of social psychology - Mindset Theory of Action Phases; tasks that facilitate the notion to identify goals should not only confront others with tasks committing to goals but should also equip people with "mental contrasting and goal implementation strategies" (Gollwizer, P., 2012).
Time Management
Setting a clear objective is essential to effectively managing time. With concise goals, I can prioritise important tasks and prevent myself from irrelevant
Evaluation
It is important to implement a clear set of goals in order to promote productivity towards a future plan and therefore are also seen as a motivational tool to increase performance. Evaluation and revision will allow a back and forth communication that will promote adjustment from the theoretical principals of my goals to the physical results of my practise (Feliciano, D. 2008).
how to over come Weaknesses and criticism?
Instead of tying to eliminate any weaknesses, they should be perceived in a different point of view. For example; to be impatient could be seen as passionate and to be stubborn is a correspondence to dedication. By understanding the qualities that we display we can communicate and identify the right tools needed to accomplish a task (Kerpen D., 2013)
