Web of Promises
Me: Michael Vickers
Promises I have made to myself
- I promised myself at the beginning of the summer I would make varsity cross country: This mean't was running sixth days a week and working out seven days a week
- Higher GPA: Last year I didn't finish with a great GPA so I tried harder in school this year and made a point to turn in all my assignments and time and complete them to my best quality.
Promises I have broken
- Being lazy: Sometimes I promise myself I will clean around the house and be more helpful. The problem is I get lazy and break a lot of these promises
- Taking care of my body: It is crucial I take care of my body but I don't do this all of the time. This can mean me not refueling after a hard run.

Some Promises I have made to others
- The custodian told me on the last day of sixth grade, "Be good boy": I apply this to all aspects of life. I respect everyone and try my best to show a posative attitude towards others. I try my hardest when I am doing things for others and I feel this is how I fulfill this promise.
- I promised my mom I would put academics above all: Since she is paying for my education she asks that I put my academics first which is what I do. This may mean staying up later to finish a project or study for a test but I do it.
- At the beginning of cross country I promised my coach I would be committed. I show up at practice everyday with an attitude showing I am there to work. I know if I am committed to my coach be will be committed to me.
