Not Enough Safety Testing
There are many unsafe allergic reactions that can happen after eating GMOs that shows how they haven't been tested enough.
Many animals don't have much space and aren't "free range", meaning they are cooped up.
Animals can gain weight and get obese from GMO injections and side affects.
GMOs can cause unwanted immunities, making actual antibiotics less effective.
Some companies won't put labels on their GMO foods, so consumers don't know what they are eating.
While GMOs aren't even allowed in some countries, here in the U.S, our GMO foods don't even need labels.
Backfire on Enviornment
GMO plants can take over and dominate other organic plants.
Even though some GMO crops are pest resistant, the organisms the GMO is meant to repell can get immunities to that GMO.
This can lead to even more GMOs and their side affects.
Withstand Harsh Enviornments
Maize, or rice, can be drought tolerant, and make it's survival rate have very high odds in places with hot climates.
Golden rice has very high levels of Vitamin A, making it healthier than regular rice, and reduces your risk of going blind.
People with Diabetes take insulin to decrease side affects and risk.
Zero children have died from GMOs, while millions die from illnesses that can be cured by GMOs.
Papayas are modified to withstand the ring spot virus, making production increase.
Many crops have a gene that allows the plant to be resistant to pests, so these plants can survive longer.
Help End World Hunger
Because GMOs can survive through many things, production becomes very high, leading to more food for the hungry.
Transgenic tomatoes have a gene that gets rid of the fruit’s enzyme that makes it soften, so the fruit will last longer.
: One major benefit of GMOs is that they have qualities that make production faster to provide to more people.
: “Some foods are modified to contain additional vitamins...be beneficial to people in countries that do not have an adequate supply of these nutrients”(GMO’s - Pros and Cons).
This shows that many steps have been taken to produce faster for poor countries.
: A main concern of GMOs is that they have not been tested enough for safety to be properly used and eaten.
“When you eat them, these antibiotic markers persist in your body and can make actual antibiotic medications less effective”(Pros & Cons of GMO Foods).
This shows that there are many side affects of GMos that haven't been tested for, and that is why the side affects happen.
