In a unitary government, the central government may have subdivisions in order to make governing easier. However, the subdivisions must follow all of the rules of the central government.

There are over 150 unitary nation states. Some nations that have unitary governments are France, China, The United Kingdom, and Japan.

In a unitary government, the citizens have little to no say. The government makes all the policies and laws.

Unitary governments are often instill a high level of national pride in their citizens. Unitary governments have shown that they have had a population that is willing to fight for their country in wars.
A unitary government is very simple. A few people are included in the decision making process , so that they can make decisions a bit more faster and more organized.
