The power of a absolute monarch comes directly from god. Any attempt to overthrow the king would be against gods will.
In actuality the monarch is limited by pressure from other groups such as aristocracy, citizenry,or other special interest groups. Many monarchs were kept in check by nobility or other powerful classes of citizens. One strong example of a absolute monarch was Luis XIV of France.
Ruling monarch has ABSOLUTE power.

The rise of absolute monarchies dates back to the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries.
Louis XIV, also known as the Sun King, reigned as King of France for 72 years, longer than any other European monarch. Under his reign, France became the most powerful country in Europe.
Nepal, Swaziland and the Vatican City are the only remaining true absolute monarchies in the world today.
Britain used to be an absolute monarchy until the Glorious Revolution in 1688.
Russia became the last European country (excluding Vatican City) to abolish absolutism (a political system in which a single ruler, group, or political party has complete power over a country) and the only one to do so as late as the 20th century (the Ottoman Empire drafted its first constitution in 1877).

A monarchy is a kind of government where a monarch, a kind of hereditary ruler (someone who inherits their office), is the head of state.
If you were the ruler of a monarchy or a Monarch, you would have ABSOLUTE power (i.e. all power in your country) and control on what goes on.
A Monarch would have divine rights. Divine right was the claim that a king was given his position by some higher power.
A monarchy consists of distinct but interdependent institutions—a government and a state administration on the one hand, and a court and a variety of ceremonies.
Monarchy thus entails not only a political-administrative organization but also a “court society,” a term coined by the 20th-century German-born sociologist Norbert Elias to designate various groups of nobility that are linked to the monarchical dynasty (or “royal” house) through a web of personal bonds.
A single person whose right to rule and who is empowered to remain in office for life.
