why I admire him
Basically I admire him because of Sherlock Holmes, the
character he created as a private detective in his novel.

On the age of 22, he was offered the post of ship's surgeon on the Hope, a whaling boat.
- Received his Bachelor of Medicine and Master of Surgery Degree.

In 1902, he was knighted by King Edward VII. He was also appointed a Deputy-Lieutenant of Surrey

He killed the character of sherlock holmes in the final problem but decided to resurrect the character back because of the fans.

Life Story

He was born on 22 May 1859 in Edinburgh, Scotland into a prosperous Irish family.
- Graduating at the age of 17, he decided to further his study into medical studies at University of Edinburgh.
At University of Edinburgh he met with Dr Joseph Bell, who at that time was one of his teachers. This man has impressed and influenced him without a doubt.
After a couple of years into his studies, he decided to try his pen at writing short story. This is where his career in writing begins.
