Definitions
Tourism: stepping out of your comfort zone, (usually your home) to travel a distance for more than a day and less than a year for any purpose.
Tourist: The actual person who travels from their comfort zone for more than 24 hours and less than a year.
Eco Tourism: :recycle: an environmentally responsible travel to enjoy and appreciate nature and culture experiences. Ecotourism should have a low impact on the environment and should contribute to the well-being of the locals.
National Parks: Large area of beautiful countryside which is specifically protected so it remains beautiful for now and the future.

There is a demand for locally produced food, which means that local farmers and producers become wealthier.
Tourism encourages the government to spend more money to improve places to attract more tourists e.g. local facilities, shopping areas, parks, roads.

Tourists produce loads of waste like rubbish and pollution from cars. The cost to clear up goes onto local people.
Tourism means that people from abroad move to live in the area. This makes house prices rise. Local people often cannot afford the prices
