Plot:
1.)Gene and Finny jump from the tree
2.) Gene makes Finny fall and break a leg
3.)They fight
4.)They're put on trial
5.) Finny falls down the stairs and breaks his leg again.
6.) Finny dies

Finny still had some hope of getting into the army after his accident in the movie but in the book he gave up completely

In the movie Leper was living in a shack he built in the woods but in the book he was living at home when he escaped the war

Finny is very demanding and controlling and gets away with everything in both the movie and the book
