In WW2 the Jews were targeted by the Nazis because according to Adolf Hitler apparently the Jews were planning to control the world. They weren't.
Over 6 million Jews were killed in concentration camps and in other places designed for the sole purpose of murder or testing. This number included 1.5 million children.
Not only Jews were killed in the Holocaust, although they were the biggest target. Soviet citizens and Soviet POWs, communists, homosexuals, Freemasons, Jehovah's Witnesses, and others were also killed in the genocide.
Judaism is largely peaceful, with one of their big ideas being forgiveness and kindness
The Jews didn't fight but got caught in the fighting because the Christians slaughtered everyone and also to them Jerusalem was the holy city
