Warring States Period
Connected to the Feudalism system
Lords of countries often fought with one another for power
Eventually the six or seven countries joined forces
The countries planned to overthrow the king for his power together
Caused by the Lords wanting more power
The Lords only had control over the land given to them by the king
Feudalism
Similar to trade
King traded with Lords
King gave land to Lords
Lords gave soldiers to protect king and kingdom
Lords traded with Farmers
Lords gave farmers protection and shelter
Farmers gave the Lords a portion of their crops
All land owned by King
King gives land to lords
In exchange Lords give soldiers to protect King and kingdom
System kept things stabalized for a while
Lords wanted more power
Lords soon had almost as much power as the king
This is what caused the Warring States Period
