Conclusion
There was no plumbing in the barracks.
Japanese Americans had to live in animal stalls such as horses, cows, and pigs stalls.
If you said something too loud people in a different stall could hear you
Some barracks which are 6 room apartments had cracks in them that let in dust and that could suffocate someone.
They had to walk to a different building to shower, wash their clothes, and go to the restroom.
Search lights swept the grounds between the two places. They were guarded be eight towers with machine guns.
The temperatures were either really hot summers or really cold winters.
They were located in isolated areas that no one else wanted to live in such as deserts or swamps.
Food courts held about 200-300 Japanese Americans
They would eat hot dogs for days on end.
It was either really hot or really cold. There was no in between.
The Japanese were expected to be loyal to their homeland so people thought the Japanese on the west coast might start an invasion.
Because of the rush of moving away to a camp, Japanese people would sell their valuables for a really low price.
