Who refuses to feel inspired by the Rebellion. He believes that life will continuously be unhappy no matter whoever is in charge. He is the only animal on the farm to understand the changes happening around them. He chooses not to fight or rebel against the pigs
Boxer
His strength, loyalty and dedication are key to the beginnings of Animal Farm. He becomes so devoted to helping the revolution that he forgets to think and help himself. He is become naive and trusts the pigs with everything.
Clover
Often suspects the pigs not following the rules they have created for Animal Farm (Seven Commandments), but she beats herself up for not remembering them by heart
Mollie
The vain, flighty mare who has a difficult time with her new life on Animal Farm. She represents the bourgeoisie (middle class) that left Russia years after the revolution.
Mr. and Mrs. Jones
Similar to the Russian Czar Nicholas II and his wife. Mr. and Mrs. Jones were very uncaring of these animals at the farm. They would mistreat the animals just like the Russian emperor did to his people. He and his wife were unpopular due to the fact that they would starve their people just because they would give all food to soldiers at war.

Nicer farmer who runs Foxwood, a neighboring farm. Mr. Frederick’s bitter enemy and represents the capitalists of England and the United States

He is the tough owner of Pinchfield, a neighboring farm. This character is based Adolf Hitler and proves himself an untrustworthy neighbor.
Moses
Tame raven who tells stories of SugarCandy Mountain, a place where animals go when they die. He is used to explore how religion is used as something to calm down those who are oppressed
