Stuck within the four walls of my book
Introduction
Get caught up in a book
The Ghosts of Heaven by Marcus Sedgwick
The Hobbit by J.R.R Tolkien
The Glory by Lauren St John
Enjoy the sense of adventure and suspense in a book
personally like a bit of adventure - all three books offer
The Hobbit
like Blibo - I like the comfort of home, though when brought into an adventure I take it as it comes and I actually enjoy it
"Don't be a fool Bilbo Baggins!" he said to himself, "thinking of dragons and all that outlandish nonsenses at you're age!" page 37
"They fell to talking of their times together" page 284
gets very into the adventure
enjoys the exhilaration and adrenaline rush
enjoy the thrills
the company of good friends
enjoys good tales
The Glory
the love of horses
adventurous rider
the two different characters; Alexandra Blakewood and Will Greyton
Alex - reckless teen - sent to boot camp
cares for her horses
"She rides like an angel, Clare thought ruefully, well aware that in every other area of Alex's life she was anything but." page 8
Will - very considerate
cares for his horse and his father
"The death of his grandparents had been the first in a chain of events that had led him to where he was now" page 35
can relate to both characters
the sense of adventure
cares for family
The Ghosts of Heaven
new beginnings
the spiral - links each story
story based on four different people and different stages in life
"To seek rational where there is only irrational might itself be an act of madness" page 252
I like to look at things in life rationally
I like to see the different beliefs people have
"It is a rare man who can admit his mistakes and make amends for them." page244
all four stories link with the spiral
the spiral is said to lead to heaven
conclusion
all three books have some sense of adventure in them
I like the suspense that they would have is some of the chapters
very relatable to me
