The Department of Hydrology and Atmospheric Sciences is a degree granting department as well as a major research department here at the University of Arizona that specializes in hydrologic and atmospheric sciences.
Offers both Undergraduate and Graduate Degrees. Heavy in Research. Provides scholarships. Has General Education Classes (Tier 1 and 2).

The department was established in 1957 following the establishment of the Institute of Atmospheric Physics in the early 1950s.
In January of 2016, the two departments (Hydrology and Water Resources and the Atmospherics Sciences and Physics joined to create one department
