SafeRide is a student run transportation service that is free and available to all UA affiliates.
Similar to Uber, SafeRide uses a mobile app (and phone number) that allows students to request rides during hours of operation. The student then tells the operator of their location, destination, NetID, firstname, and number of riders.
SafeRide aims to provide a safe alternative to walking alone at night on and around campus.
For the Spring Semester, SafeRide operating hours are as follows:
Sunday-Thursday 6:30 pm to 1 am
Friday 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm
Closed on Saturdays
SafeRide has been entirely student run since 1981.

However, to request a ride, students must either make a phone call to 520-621-SAFE (7233) or download their app TransLoc Rider.
