Three: Letting go of the Present, the Past, and the Future
Let us offer ourselves to fate, so that with the universe we are swept alonh, like actors in a play. All we have is the choice and ability to play the roles we are given to the best of our ability.`

Wait, what the fuck? What the fuck are we doing then?
-
Should we not have goals then? What the fuck, dude? This is hippy bullshit. Fuck off.
Thus, we set internal goals.

To bring change in ourselves first, and then change in the world.
Let us have a good life. A life not spent in dread of pain, or a slave to pleasure. One not spent in fear. One spent loving who we can, and bringing change in the world we know is of value to others.
Should I not try at all, since I do not complete contorl over whether I will acheive what I want?
The only control we have is over the goals we set for ourselves, and over the fulfillment of what we want, we only have some but not complete control.
Let us reject categorizing what fate brings to our table as "good" or "bad". Let us allow tranquility to seep into our lives, rather than let grief, anger, or fear overwhelm our capacity.
We should aim to adapt ourselves to the play we are given a role in, and do the best to love, to connect with those around us and choose to love them, to allow ourselves to take delight in what is around us, to be the best actors in the roles we are given (internal goals v. external goals)
Life is not a contest, nor a race. But, if we are indeed in a place where external failure communicates weakness and allows other to lord themselves over us,
