Boolean Search (americans with disabilities act) "reasonable accommodation"
I narrowed down the results to cases within my jurisdiction
I got a lot of cases that dealt with seniority so i refined my search to not include that
I had trouble finding cases that showed what a reasonable accommodation
I decided to look for a secondary source that would give me a better starting point
Ended up having to tweak this quite a bit
I went back to the Manual I used in my other issue to find out what a reasonable accommodation is
I searched within the document for the phrase reasonable accommodation
The definition was helpful and gave me a starting point
at this point west law popped up a search recommendation which I followed to a couple of cases
these cases were not in my jurisdiction but ended up being helpful nonetheless.
I found a case from the 5th circuit that is going to be awesome to draw analogies too
Once I had the language from the manual it was much easier to form a boolean search that lead to better results
I narrowed down my results to cases in my jurisdiction and again eliminated seniority
Once I found my J.C. Penny case, I used that to find other cases
I searched these cases for what constitutes a reasonable accommodation
I also used this case to find relevant key and head notes.
I searched through the west key number system
This brought me to relevant cases
narrowed down the cases I found by jurisdiction
thee cases I found were helpful but the fact patterns were not similar
I read the ADA and searched within for reasonable accommodation
