Summary
Ralph is delighted that they're on an island with no adults, but Piggy, not so much

Once assembled, the boys vote Ralph as their leader. But Ralph leaves Jack in charge of the choir boys, designating them hunters.
Jack, Ralph, and Simon discover that the island is uninhibited. And when Jack misses his chance to kill a pig, he vows fiercely that he wont mess up again.
Themes
The conflict is the clash between Ralph and Jack, who respectively represent civilization and savagery.

Summary
Ralph sets the rule of speaking in turn, and Jack breaks it immediately
