How a bill becomes a law
1.)Bill is introduced in the House of Representatives
This means that the law that someone wants made is first sent to the House of Representatives
8.)Senate Committee Votes
This means that the senate committee has to vote on the bill and decide if they want it to be a law in order for the whole entire senate to vote on it
11.)Bill sent to President
This means that after the senate votes on the bill it is sent to the president to make the final vote on if the bill should become a law
10.)Senate votes
This means that the senate votes on wether the bill should become a law
5.)House of Representatives votes on the bill
This means that the House of Representatives votes on if they think the bill should become a law
3.)House of Representatives committee votes
This means that the House of Representatives committee has to vote on the bill in order for all of the House of Representatives to vote
7.)Sent to Senate Committee
This means that afterthe whole entire senate looks at the bill, it is then sent it the senate committee so they can look at it
9.)Bill debated on Senate floor (possible Filibuster)
This means that all of the senate will have a discussion about all of the good factors and bad factors about the bill being a law
4.)Bill debated on the House of Representatives floor
This means that all of the House of Representatives will have a discution about the good things and bad things about the bill
2.)Bill is sent to a House of Representatives committee
This means that after the whole entire House of Representatives looks at the bill, it is then sent to the House of Representatives committee
6.)Bill introduced in the Senate
This means that the bill gets sent to the senate so they can look at it and decide if it should be a law
