Senior Evaluation and Planning

What resources and experiences are the children interested in?

How did we facilitate spontaneous activities? Can we extend these?

Did you observe any children struggling/achieving? How can we support their development?

Can we create some teaching moments from suggestions or interests? What long term projects can we initiate?

What/who needs to be evaluated again?

MTOP Outcomes

Interests in Slime and Cooking can be created by encouraging children to research their own methods and recipes. Also by encouraging children who know to make things (e.g. Ella H) o teach other children to allow them to learn how to lead.

Dreamcatcher craft: It was a packet craft with its own instructions which was left to the children to figure out how to do. This was a teaching moment in independence and investigation. Further crafts that are less carer involved and more about children sourcing their own learning is a good idea.

Programming two crafts to be trialled and evaluated again. Creates a lot of programming work though.

Ben Soloman needs to be ongoingly evaluated with his behaviour and coping skills.

Year 4 boys e.g. Noah B, Alex L, Dylan O, Lucas C, Micah C. Need to be reevaluated as they have been put on warnings to be sent back down to juniors for their behaviour. We need to track whether they improve.
