    - - Woodrow Wilson was president at this time. This denied recognition to any Latin American government viewed as opposite, undemocratic, or hostile. We only gave support to nations with the same moral behavior.
    - - Some anti-imperialists were people like Mark Twain, Grover Cleveland, Andrew Carnegie, and Jane Addams. These people opposed expansion and believed it went against what the US was.
