Irony
Barney was certain that the ex-con was going to come and shoot up Andy as a form of revenge. When he was actually coming to thank him and give him a gun as a gift. So that was the opposite of what Barney thought was going to happen. (Situation Irony)
Plot Parts
Climax
When Andy was sitting in his house waiting for the ex-con he was nervous and thinking about grabbing his gun for safety.
Rising Action
When it showed the ex-con (a man we had yet not know for sure was the ex-con) getting of the bus with a limp and was carrying a gun. This looked scary and suspicious, making it the rising action.
Author Hook
When Andy got the letter from the con saying that they had some business. Thats when Barney thought that that meant he wanted revenge.
Exposition
In the beginning they introduced the main characters. Andy as the antagonist and Barney, Odis, and Gomer as the protagonists.
Resolution
When andy turns the lights back on and finds them all tangled in the floor then they no that andy is not in danger.
Falling Action
Right after he gave Andy the gun and they were talking and he was thanking him, and the lights went out.
Conflict
Barney expected the ex-con to shoot Andy, so he, Gomer, and Odis team up to protect him.
Characters
Andy
He's the man that was "supposed" to be shot by the ex-con. Barney and his men try to protect him by skulking around his house in case the ex-con approached his door, but he told them not to worry about it.

Barney
He's most prominent character of the episode. He works with two other men, Gomer and Odis, to barricade Andy's house without his consent.
Otis
Out of the team of three, he's the heavier and perhaps more sensible man, that reluctantly agrees on protecting Andy. He does anyway.
Gomer
Of the team of three, he's the taller and dumber man who feels good about working with Barney and Otis to protect Andy.
