At the end of the episode Barney Fife was out side of Andy's house and cut the lights out and was about to rush into Andy's house. This is an example of dramatic irony because the audience could guess that Barney was going to rush into Andy's house but Andy him self did not know.

The theme of this show was to not jump to conclusions all the time, and to not judge someone by their past.
