General Gerorge Washington
Was a farmer before he became the general of the British Army and the 1st President of the United states.
He and the rest of his family were farmers on their farm.
Was born Febraury 22, 1732 and died on December 14, 1799.
Weighed 175 punds and was 6 feet tall and 2 inches.
George Washington was Christian.
He didn't have a middle name.
His hair was real hair and not even a wig.
He was one of the sickest President's in US history so far.
George Washington's body was almost burried at the capitol.
He never chopped down the cherry tree.
George Washington had 9 siblings , 6 brothers and 3 sisters.
He was the only President to go to war as President.
Martha grew up to be 5 feet tall.
He had slaves at the age of 11.
Martha' freed George's slaves 1 year before his death.
George learned to be a surveyor.
Martha died on May 22, 1802
Martha was the Nation's first lady.

Causes of the Revelution
There were many taxes and acts like, Quartering act, Stamp tax act, Townshend act and the Sugar act.
Boston Massacre- British soldiers in Boston opened fire on a group of American colonists that killed five people. After all of that happened they imposed taxes on tea, glass, paper, paint, and lead.
Another cause was the First Continental Congress. This caused all sorts of fights and arguing and that lead to the war.
Treaty of Paris
America is officially recognized as a free and independent nation.
America agrees to pay all existing war debts.
Britain agrees to remove all of its troops from the colonies.
It set new territory boundaries for the U.S.
America will not punish Loyalists in the colonies.
Advantages of the Patriots
The colonists were defending their own principles (The British were not)

Important events of the Revelution
Boston Tea Party- Samuel Adams led the patriots (Sons of Liberty) in throwing tea into the Boston Harbor to protest tea taxes.
First Continental Congress- A gathering of colonial legestlatures trying to decide what to do about Britain.
Shot Heard Round the World- This was the first shot of the Revelution and nobody knows who exactly fired it.
The ride of Paul Revere- When Patriots got word of Gen, Gage's plan was to attack a colonial stockpile of arms, Paul Revere and William Dawes set out on horseback to warn colonists (militias) that the British were coming.
Battle of Concord- A battle between the British and the Patriots, British were trying to get the Patriots arm stash. Citizens had been warned and they were ready. This is when The Shot Heard Round the World happened. Soon after, British were forced to retreat.
